Running Accomplishments:

high school track (I tried sprinting, hurdling, and crossed over to long distance at the end of my last season but did not take running as seriously as weight training which I did on my own) freshman year college track ( tried a variety of mid-distance events) For about a year now I have been combining swimming, weight training and mid-distance running workouts for a flexible routine I can sustain while pursuing my studies. This has brought me to my highest level of fitness so far.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Exacerbated by a stressful schedule, lack of sleep and a some over-training, an inflamed knee had me temporarily abandon my running workouts and work on swimming instead. Unfortunately these workouts did not help me sustain the same aerobic fitness as I had been experiencing prior to the injury. I would like to learn how to sustain the best and healthiest level of fitness possible for me and my lifestyle into my old age.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I think I would like to participate in a marathon or triathlon some day.

Personal:

I am a 20 year old college student in Santa Barbara currently earning my bs in computer science. I love fashion, fine dining, and philosophy.

Santa Barbara's beach-side bike trail, my favorite course. This was the strongest I've felt all summer - it felt great!

I ran the first half smooth and effortlessly and continued picking up the pace until the last mile when I lost my focus and started to feel my tiredness, the rest was a slower more choppy run but still one of the better finishes of my summer runs.
